By Mitchem, Jason
REVIVIFY is the personal journey of the life of Jason Mitchem as he experiences first hand the trials of restoration. You will pear into his life as he unveils the sins of his past and shares the stories of 8 other fallen leaders and their rise from the rubble of mistakes most would like to forget and will expose to you that full restoration is possible if only you will allow it.

"Jason has written a very personal, yet public book that is going to make for great conferences and workshops. I love how he shares his personal experiences from start to finish. This is a must read for Pastors!”

Pastor Kelcey West
Nehemiah Ministries
Las Vegas, NV

"A fresh perspective on an age old subject. No matter your thoughts on what restoration should look like, Jason gives an insightful study on this subject. His personal journey and what God is able to do with an available heart is something every leader should read. I highly recommend REVIVIFY. "

By Ann Perkins With Wanda Goerz
Bipolar disorder held Ann in its strong grip for twenty-five years. She was regularly plunged from mountainous mania to deep, dark valleys. Suicide attempts and mental hospital stays were often followed by happy times with family and friends; although excess was often a problem. Persistent prayers of her own and others finally led her to a Christian psychiatrist. Her beloved “Dr. John” prescribed appropriate medication, and fine-tuned the dosage to achieve balanced moods. All the while, he worked to convince Ann to value herself.

Eventually, he began to patiently and tenderly coax her to recall and deal with the trauma that she experienced and repressed when she was six years old. Anger, guilt and hurt from myriad other life experiences had to be dealt with as well. Finally, and most importantly, guidance in spiritual formation set Ann free to resume her spiritual journey which was stifled by her illness early in her adulthood.

Her gripping story begins with generational issues and progresses through cultural and religious issues, mental and physical illness, love and forgiveness, and finally in recovery as near to wholeness as one could hope for. Ann’s story of perseverance and faith is told simply, but passionately. Her message is straight forward: God’s love and provision is an essential element of lifting one from despair to joy.

Possibly there is nothing more conducive to thoughts of the Eternal, than having one’s face slammed into red, wet muck, with explosions so close your body arcs and bounces off the ground, hot shards burn in your flesh, and concussions are bright flashes of dirty fire beating a tattoo on the light receptors in the backs of your eyes. Your head aches; throbbing from visual shock waves.

Time has come to an end; there is no right, no wrong, only whatever follows a life that is now over. The dark reaper is here. What’s it going to be like on the other side? Is there an “other side”?

The old timers use the maxim, “There are no atheists in a fox-hole.” Possibly so; I can only give my own experience, and I never had the opportunity to be in one. Combat aviators crash and sometimes burn instead. But close calls almost always give rise to interminable questions; especially when the survived experience is seared into the human psyche.

For some, satisfactory answers never seem to come. For myself, may I pro-offer both scorching experience, and incredible life-lessons learned? Then, should you ever fall into similar adventure; you man go into it better prepared than I was.

Millions of people have become bored going through the routine church services, listening to the same presentations over and over.  In Everyone Remembers the Play, you will see a collection of five Bible stories or Bible principles with a modern-day twist to them. As you read these plays, be prepared for an adventurous encounter.

These plays are based on the stories of:

The Prodigal Son – Initially, Sister Perla refuses to forgive Brother Brown for leaving the church for so many years, but she recognizes that she needs forgiveness herself when she realizes that she was the lost coin.

The Good Samaritan – Unlike the pastor and the elder, the Rasta-man shows that he understands the true meaning of service when he cancels his business appointment to tend to the injured victim.

The Christian Dress – Some liberal Christians are convinced that although their hearts are in the right place, they also need to look different from the rest of the world by displaying modesty  in their dress.

Adam and Eve – Obedience is the key to worshipping God.  Adam and Eve tried to take advantage of God’s mercy and found themselves on the other side of the border.

Ananias, Sapphira, and the Rich Fool – A rich couple learns a valuable lesson about thanksgiving and stewardship from the Rich Fool.

The plays are suitable for main church services, camps, retreats, Bible studies, bedtime stories, or just about any occasion.  As you read along, you will get a more practical understanding of the Bible, because no matter how exceptional the preacher is, few will recall the sermon, but Everyone Remembers the Play.

Raymond and Fabiola’s faith had been tested before, but not like this. Being told that their newborn had been diagnosed with a genetic condition was an emotional blow, and when she was admitted to the neo-natal intensive care unit for thirty one days, it challenged their faith to its very core. How were they going to weather this storm? Could their faith in God stand strong in the face of the medical professional’s prognosis about their daughter’s medical condition?

Told by the fourth-generation descendant of Christian women, in a Haitian American family, Fabiola Powell takes us on a journey to uncover the legacy of faith of three generations of women—Rosetane, Marie and Nora—whose faith stood firm in the midst of a religious movement, political unrest and personal struggle. This endearing and poignant story of redemption illustrates God’s sovereign power, at work in the life of a family, and demonstrates that His Word is timeless and transcends generations. What follows is an epic story that will truly inspire you to believe.

Our society is uneasy with the reality of death—hiding death behind euphemisms and rituals that most pre-school and elementary-age children do not understand. Children are much more frightened of the mysterious and the unexplained than they are if they understand the natural process of death and society’s common rituals, such as a funeral, so that they will be able to manage their feelings and thoughts. Using a Christian framework, this book can help dispel the fears that a child encounters when faced with the death of someone they love. Children are encouraged to say “good-bye” in a way that is both meaningful and understandable to them, enabling them to cope with grief and loss.

— Dr. John Rawlings, The Rawlings Foundation Administrator

“In all of these insights, I realize more and more, that there is a certain need I have to know Jesus better, and to love Him. For this reason, I am asking for the grace of the Lord to ‘Show me His Face.’ That image of coming to know the Face of Jesus has caught me.” (First paragraph of chapter one.)

These words serve as the basis of Father Meehan’s life, prayer, and fifty years of ministry in the priesthood, and are the underlying theme of this book of reflections. For over fifty years, he wrote down reflections on prayer, the saints, Christian ministry, the Church, and moral theology issues, especially abortion and peace and justice issues, seeking God’s Face, and His truth and love, in all of these areas. Finally, on facing his death during the last year of his life, he reflected: “How much more should I review spiritual things such as praying more often … more generous time given to the Lord. So now I offer in the Holy Spirit a prayer of openness to God’s Will, whenever God calls. Main point: With the Lord’s grace, I need to commend my spirit to the Lord more and more.” (Last chapter.)

By sharing with us over fifty years of seeking the face of God, Father Meehan leads us to see the Lord.

The Trees Will Clap Their Hands looks at the story of the Garden of Eden and traces its most important themes throughout the Old and New Testaments. We see how biblical writers over the centuries drew upon the story to describe the times in which they lived and to envision a new future for themselves and for God’s people.

Though many people think of the garden as something like the ultimate vacation spot, we learn that it is in fact the ultimate vocation destination. It is primarily a place of devotion and worship of God. This basic truth binds the Bible together from Genesis to Revelation.

Through this study we discover that the garden is not just a biblical or historical landmark, nor is it only a future hope, but it is a place that we are invited to live in today.

“I sit up straight on my daybed, breathing hard, pushing my sheets down to my ankles. It’s still dark outside; the air is tranquil, hot and sticky. I run my fingers through my tangled hair and try to slow my breathing. I don’t understand why this dream keeps coming back…”

Scared and confused sixteen-year-old, Blair Chance, doesn’t know where to turn while running down the dark hallway known as life. Blair seems to have everything back in order after moving away from her humiliating past in Florida, to a new life in California.

With her two best friends by her side—at almost every moment—and Dad watching her every move, she forces herself to build a wall of lies to prove to them that the past is behind her, as well as the nightmares.

Despite her tough exterior, her subconscious turns her average nightmares into uncontrollably terrifying dreams.

A journey of self-discovery  teaches her that sometimes the only way to move forward is to go back.

Do you believe in werewolves?  What would you say if you happened upon a dead body and forensic experts discovered evidence pointing to an attack by a strange man-beast?   That’s exactly what has happened in the secluded parks and woodlands surrounding one terrified Midwestern community.  Detective Sam Sloan is a realist and born skeptic who scoffs at fanciful myths and legends.  That is, until his investigative team is baffled by a string of brutal killings that seem to have no other reasonable explanation.  The elusive monster strikes like clockwork according to the lunar cycle, only under the shimmering glow of the full moon.  As the body count increases, Sloan, against his better judgment and veteran cop’s instincts, turns to a naturalist and Native American spiritualist for guidance.  Their mystical, secular viewpoints are challenged by a crusty, old Aussie professor who espouses a literal six-day creation according to the Genesis account.

Who is more dangerous, the animal that kills without conscience or man, who is driven by conscious evil?  Imagine the most fearsome beast of all … a predator with the remorseless instincts and keen senses of a vicious wolf, coupled with an unhinged but brilliant man’s cunning and intelligence.  Seek the answers as we track down the lunatic, Lew Carew.

In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, he saw it all to be good except for one thing: man was alone. It was then that God created a suitable helper, a wife. Man would no longer be alone but the two would become one flesh. Being a wife is a journey of its own and being the wife of a law enforcement officer is a unique journey. As a wife on duty, whether it be through law enforcement, fire, or military, we share the protection of our spouse with our cities, counties, and country. Take a journey with a wife whose marriage had an uncertain future and see how God transformed her life once she surrendered it all. It was realizing that her role as a wife was prewritten and ordained by her maker which made her put her faith into action. With marriages falling apart every day in the law enforcement community, there is no better time than now to fight for our marriages with God by our side. Who better to seek council and guidance from than the one who created marriage in the first place?
