The Little Lambs and the Rainbow Zebra is the first in the Little Lamb Books by V. K. Dorner. This story tells the tale of how the two little lambs try to help their zebra friend, Ebony, feel as beautiful as the Ark’s very vain (and colorful) peacock. The story features fantastic, eye-catching illustrations by Mary Ann Nelson McAlister.

“Noah, is it ever going to stop raining?” Eugene asked as he stared out of the ark window.

“Of course it will, little lamb,” Noah replied. “Just have a little patience. Until then, why don’t you enjoy being with the other animals? It is not often we are all under one roof.”

“You’re right! See you later,” Eugene said as he skipped off to find his friends.

Eugene found Felicia, another little lamb aboard the ark, with the zebras- Ebony and Ivory. They were staring at the birds.

“What are you looking at?” Eugene asked.

“The peacock,” Ebony replied with a sign. “Look at all those beautiful colors!”

V. K. Dorner was born and raised in the great state of Texas. She graduated from the Bible College of Wales in 1999. It was there that she developed a heart for children’s ministry. After graduation, she moved back to the States and traveled around before settling back in Texas. She now has three children of her own, Jonathan, LJ, and Evalyn, who are her inspiration and heart. She prays that these stories will touch the hearts of children all around the world.
