The preacher and his two sons, Aaron and John David made their debut March of 2001 in a local paper located in Sevier County, Tennessee. The strip has been very active over the years, connecting with the Baptist Press, national and international newspapers, churches, ministry projects, educational material, etc.
God has blessed the ministry of Preacher’s Kids comics with opportunities to bring a smile, a chuckle and a reminder that to please Christ we must approach Him with childlike faith.
The party was great! I had cake, presents, ice cream and John David even entertained us with a new birthday dance. I had everything I could imagine except the one gift I wanted more than all the others, a replica jersey of my favorite football player Bobby “the bullet” Bumhouser.
Dr. Dave resides in East Tennessee with his wife, Tammy, and his two sons, Aaron and John David, who continue to give him inspiration for the strip. He also pastors a local church and claims the title “cartoonevangelist” as an honored position.
