When God said we were made in His image, He was saying that we were just like Him. The thing that goes mostly unnoticed is that God had just spent six days of creation introducing and describing Himself prior to letting us know we were a chip off the old block. Like Father, like son. What is the son suppose to be like? Easy, what was the father like? From the start of creation when Genesis 1:1 says, "In the beginning God...," the Bible begins to describe God's personality, His style, and His mannerisms. After six days of activity, God has told us everything we need to know about Himself, so we would know everything we needed to know about us.
