We have all asked the questions, Where is God when tragedy strikes? Where is God when life seems painful? God, why did you let this happen?
What would happen if we stop blaming God and actually start trusting Him during difficult times? Could you imagine what God's power can do in your life? Through our storms, we come to realize we have a God who is there for us every step of the way. We have a God who wants to guide us through the treacherous waters of life. As long as we trust Him, He will never let us be lost at sea.
God, I don’t understand why this is happening to me?
My Child, at the moment you are not supposed to know why you are going through all of this, but later on you will. Because right now you don’t see things very clearly, you are squinting through a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears up and sun shines bright. You will see it all then, see it as clearly as I see it. (1 Corinthians 13:12) I am trying to steer you through this storm. If you knew what was happening to you, you might try to take the wheel and navigate through the treacherous waters, not knowing where you are going. Then you would be lost at sea. The important thing is, I have sailed these waters before, and I know how to get you out. I ask that you trust me because I have it all planned out, plans to take care of you, not to abandon you, plans to give you the future you hoped for (Jeremiah 29:11).
