Five Fun Plays for Christian Kids is exactly what it sounds like …fun! These plays are loaded with Bible hero adventures, funny lines, wild props, and page after page of action! Travel through time to see the birth of Christ. Call down fire from heaven with Elijah. Swim away from a hungry whale with Jonah. Leap into the Lions' den with Daniel. Each adventure will leave kids laughing as their imaginations run wild! Children will be eager to design their costumes, paint their props, and set up the stage for each adventure. They might even learn something, too! Enjoy the Bible over and over again through these fun and exciting dramas.

KING AHAB: (Shaking his whip) "So, there you are! Where have you been hiding? You're the cause of all these problems. What do you have to say for yourself, you troublemaker? You'd better start shaking in your boots when I'm talking!" ELIJAH: "You're the troublemaker, King Ahab! And I'm going to prove it! Go get your evil prophets of Baal, and meet me at the mountain called Mount Carmel. KING AHAB: (In a whiny voice) "Don't tell me what to do! I'm the king!" Hey, where did he go? He always gets away from me somehow! Jezebel's going to kill me. Guard!" GUARD: "Yes, Sire? What do you command?" AHAB: "Go around the whole country and tell them that I'm going to make a fool of Elijah the Prophet. Tell them to come and watch. Hurry up, now, I'm late for dinner again!"

Mrs. Phyllis Flagg has been a Christian schoolteacher for over twenty years. She recently completed an MA in Human Services from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. She lives in Eureka, Kansas, with her husband Monte, who is the pastor of First Baptist Church of Eureka. They have four adult daughters, two grandchildren, and a little Welsh Corgi named Maximus. Monte and Phyllis both serve in Eureka Christian Academy, which they founded in 2009.

Phyllis began writing plays for her students to motivate them to explore their creativity. She has always been interested in publishing plays and books for children. In her experience as a teacher, she found that plays improve speaking, reading, and memorization skills in a fun way.

As a pastor's wife and Sunday school teacher, Phyllis understands the need for stories that help teach the Bible to students. She wanted to create Bible plays that closely parallel the Bible stories. In this way, kids are actually studying the Bible as they rehearse. Her hope is that others will enjoy performing these plays as much as her students have.
