Overcoming impossible odds in which many people in similar situations have failed and lost everything, Dany Christi instead turned to God and sought after Him for wisdom and knowledge in financial matters. After being buried in more than $54,000 of debt (not including mortgage debt) on a salary of approximately $30,000 a year, she asked God for wisdom and knowledge and learned and applied the biblical approach to finances. That approach has guided her to financial freedom today. Enclosed are useful tools and financial-management techniques that readers can use in managing their personal finances.
WOW!…Approximately $54,000 worth of debt. Now if I include the mortgage, the amount would be $112,000 of debt on a $30,000/yr salary with two little ones. As I look at these numbers now, I find it even more amazing that God blessed me with everything I needed in order to accomplish getting out of debt. When I started down this path, I never looked at the numbers. I knew every credit or charge card was maxed out and because I wasn’t monitoring my spending, I didn’t know where all my money was going.
Over time, I had accumulated a lot of these credit cards. I believe that at the time, I created this debt because I was attempting to compensate for all our losses over our lifetime. While I was creating the debt, it didn’t register that I was slowly making our lives worse than it already was. Then one night that realization hit me and I decided to pray to God about my life and situation. And when He answered my prayer, it wasn’t the way I expected. Because at some point or another in our lifetime, we all pray to win the lottery, Publisher’s Clearinghouse, or for some rich uncle that we didn’t know existed would die and leave us a huge inheritance. None of those methods that I expected happened.
