My dream is for all families, patients, and especially healthcare workers to read this book for knowledge and encouragement. Our prayers are not always answered the way we want them to be answered, but God does listen and decides our fate. Rick was a born-again Christian. He was brought back to life and near death many times. He touched so many lives during his yearlong battle. Rick died in Jesus name and with God’s promises.

This book is dedicated to the bravest man I ever knew. He wanted so bad and tried so hard to live. Our prayers are not always answered the way we would like for them to be, but God's will be done. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shoud not perish, but have everlasting life". John 3:16 Rick is living and has everlasting life. I thank God daily that Rick was saved and knew our Lord.

I never thought I would be an author, but this book has a message I believe all people should read, especially healthcare workers. Our son went through a year being in hospitals and rehab centers, and the outcome was his death.

It was a very traumatic experience for me and my family. We never thought it would end the way it did. Our son was a Christian and touched many lives along the way during his fight to live and brought many people to the Lord.

We have a very close family and have always enjoyed being together very much. Family is very important to us. Even though Rick is gone, he will never be forgotten and will be forever in our hearts.
